Dear Yesterday Tracy,
Hey cupcake, why is the gas light on? I know you drove yesterday and saw that the car was almost out of fuel. You couldn’t stop at the gas station while you were out? I’m running late for work now and I don’t appreciate having to stop this morning. Also, the anxiety from praying “please let me make it to the gas station, please please PLEASE!” is taking years off of our life, hence future Tracy is also displeased as well. Please take this into consideration.
Sincerely,
Today Tracy
Dear Yesterday Tracy,
You couldn’t go grocery shopping during all of that down time? I know SVU was running a marathon but I sure would have loved some food today. Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.
Sincerely,
Today Tracy
Dear Yesterday Tracy,
Could you stop making me To-Do-Lists. Why don’t you let me live my own life and stop trying to control me. How would you like waking up already failing at the assigned tasks? You’re not the boss of me. Jerk.
Sincerely,
Today Tracy
Dear Yesterday Tracy,
I sure would love some clean clothes. We are skating awfully close to the line on what constitutes business casual at work. Stop trying to convince people that “homeless chic” is a new trend. I don’t think they’re buying it.
Sincerely,
Today Tracy
I have similar conversations with myself. You go to sleep with so much hope in what the you of tomorrow can accomplish, only to feel the sting of disappointment the next day when the you of today realizes the yesterday you was way to ambitious. In turn making you feel like a failure.
